Re-Building a Dinning Room Table
(August, 2012)

In the search for a set of four Oak press-back chairs we found this 54" diameter Quater-Sawn Oak Dinning Room Table. It needed some loving care and a complete overhaul. Although it took some time, it was well worth the effort. The only date that we could find on the table was a stamp on the latching hardware of 1904. The press-back Oak chairs are very nice too, but it was the table that was the real treasure. I re-built the pedistal, refinished everything and made two 15" table leaves (none came with thte table).
